Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: LDS in Downey at 12425 Orizaba Ave, Downey, CA 90242
We participate in the round table for Frontier District and this is how they describe the meeting.
Training
There is training before roundtable at 6:00 PM:
- The Youth Protection training is every other month on the even months.
- New leader essentials training is every other month on the odd months.
Roundtable Program
The Frontier District Committee is committed to providing a Roundtable program that will best serve your Scouting needs. Considering past successes, lessons learned and new ideas, we will be introducing a new program for Roundtables.
- First time attendees orientation and pre-opening
- Opening ceremony and welcome
- Breakout sessions
- Cracker Barrel
- Fireside Chat/Special Training and Events
- Closing
The Successful Roundtable
- There is a genuine sense of fellowship. The need to feel that you are wanted, that you are important, that you belong.
- There is a separate, helpful session for each program level.
- You get specific help you can use during the coming month.
- Learning is largely by doing or watching instead of just listening. The idea is to let you watch and then practice.
- A dependable schedule is maintained. Roundtables early in the month allow time for other steps in unit program planning before the end of the month.
- Every item in the program has been thoughtfully planned, carefully prepared, and snappily executed.
- Roundtables services also available for: Tour permits, Camping info, Order of the Arrow, Membership, Religion, High Adventure, Training, Boy Scout Advancement, and District Activities.
