We have a reservation for 9 scouts, made this Thursday morning at 10am. I allowed for some amount of parents and other to join the tour.

The cost is $3 per person (donation to the wetlands) on the tour, and it will start promptly at 9am at the wetlands interp center. The tour will start at the interp center, followed by a hike (about 2-3 miles total) and it will take between 2-3 hours. Bring water.

Our guide will be Allysa.

Thank you to Mr Kadi for being assistant tour leader, otherwise we would not be going.

Be Prepared

You must read Page 212, 215, 221, 231 of the Handbook.

Read about the area at the Bolsa Chica Wetlands website.

You should be able to find a list of animals, mostly birds, that frequent the wetlands on the website. If you are familiar with the birds that are listed as abundant, you will have an easier time identifying them.
