Flags: US Flag, CA State Flag
Equipment: Flag stands (placed at front of room)

Opening Ceremony

1. Will the audience please rise for the presentation of the colors? (Repeat if necessary)
2. Color Guard Advance (wait for the color guard) Color Guard prepare to post colors (the American Flag is posted first)
3. Post colors.(scouts face the American Flag)
4. All those in uniform right hand salute. All others, put your right hand over your heart.
5. Ready, begin.
   • I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America,
   • and to the Republic for which it stands,
   • one Nation under God, indivisible,
   • with liberty and justice for all.
6. Color guard dismissed.(Color Guard walk in a straight line to the back)
7. The audience may be seated.(Say this line after the color guard has moved to the back)

Closing

1. Will the audience please rise for the retiring of the colors? (Repeat if necessary)
2. Color Guard Advance.
3. Color Guard Prepare to retire Colors.
4. Retire Colors - Scouts Salute!!!
5. Color Guard Dismissed. (Scouts remain saluting until flag is taken to the back of the room)
